Waikiki, Hawaii   Duke Kahanamoku Beach

In front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village and the Hale Koa Military Hotel, is known as Duke Kahanamoku Beach. The offshore reef makes it a good surfing spot for the experience surfer at Ala Moana Bowls. Kahanamoku beach is a popular surfing and swimming beach. The Hilton Dock is where the Atlantis submarine tours depart. Every Friday Night there is a free Fireworks Show and torch lighting ceremony at Duke Kahanamoku Beach.

Waikiki, Hawaii   Fort Derussy Beach

Fort DeRussy Beach is located on the westside of Waikiki, located in front of the Hale Koa Hotel and Fort Derussy Muesem. There is a park behind that has areas to sunbath and picnic. There are several popular surfing spots for both tourist and locals. One of my favorites is a surf spot known as threes, many years ago they blew up part of the coral reef to make an entry way for the boats, in doing so they created one of the best surf spots in Waikiki.

Waikiki, Hawaii   Kapiolani Park Beach

Kapiolani Beach starts at the Kuhio beach breakwall and goes toward Diamond Head. Kapiolani Beach is a short Walk from Waikiki Beach. It is a more casual and relaxing setting. The park setting behind the beach has shade trees and picnic tables. The marine reserve creates good snorkeling spots to see tropical fish, there are many Hawaii State fish that make this area home "Humuhumunukunukuapuaa".

Waikiki, Hawaii   Kuhio Beach

Kuhio Beach Park is located between the Sheraton Moana Surfrider Hotel and the Kapahulu Groin. The Waikiki improvement project add palm trees and open grass area to make the beach more attractive to beach visitors. The Kapahulu Groin is a large pedestrian promenade into the ocean at the end of Kapahulu Avenue. Kuhio beach offers many ocean activities such as Outrigger canoe paddling, catamaran sailing, snorkeling, surfing, and swimming. There are food concession, picnic tables, equipment rental concessions, restrooms, and showers

Waikiki, Hawaii   Queen's Surf Beach

Queen's Surf Beach is located between the Kapahulu Groin and the Waikiki Aquarium. It is a great snorkeling spot with a variety of tropical fish. Queen's Surf Beach is also home to Queens Surf Cafe where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner with ocean front dining without the ocean front prices. Evenings at Queen's Surf Beach is home to the popular Sunset on the Beach outdoor movies shown on a beach. The beach is popular with bodyboarders and snorkelers.

Waikiki, Hawaii   San Souci ( Kaimana ) Beach

Sans Souci Beach is located at the Diamond Head side of Waikiki, in front of the New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel. Kaimana Beach if very popular with both local residents and tourist. There are a dedicated group of swimmers and one man outrigger canoe paddlers use this beach daily. There are also some good surf spots that can be reach from Kaimana Beach. The beach is less crowded than Waikiki a nice swimming area.

Waikiki, Hawaii   Waikiki Beach

Waikiki Beach is usually crowded with tourist from all over the world. Waikiki Beach activities include surfing, boggie boarding, outrigger canoe, sailing, swimming, and snorkel. The world famous Waikiki Beach Boys offer surfing lessons. The maze of sunbathers soaking up the tropical sunshine makes Waikiki Beach a perfect vacation destination. Several beach front restaurants and cafes are available for your pleasure. There is a surf locker for surfboard storage that is popular with the local residents.
